1973 MGB GT V8. Original factory example. Current owner 10yrs+.
Many improvements over the years. Rebuilt in 1990s with a colour and trim change.
Handling/ Driving improvements; MG RV8 front brakes, 7/ 8" Front ARB, Rear Panhard rod, radius arms, telescopic dampers, limited slip differential, Weber 500cfm carburettor, Edelbrock manifold, tubular exhaust manifold, stainless exhaust system.
Original 4 speed manual + overdrive.
Lots of service items, folder full of history/ receipts.
Some cosmetic issues in the usual MGB places but solid underneath.
Surprisingly capable, comfortable and economic tourer whilst compact and nippy. Great driving car with the upgrades this example has.
Incredibly cheap and easy to maintain, use and tinker with.
Cosy and classic cockpit with a fantastic burbling V8 soundtrack.
Family pressure forces sale but if i had the time and space i would keep this car forever.
