1969 DAIMLER 250 V8 PROJECT
We have just taken in part exchange this excellent value for money Daimler 250 v8 saloon.
A very worthwhile project in a beautiful combination of green over green .
I will outline as much information as I know from the previous owner but you are of course welcome to make your own inspections/ viewings should you wish .
Mechanicals:
Engine turns freely by hand , but we have not attempted to start or run, last owner was told it may not run perfectly well so it also comes with a spare engine!, gearbox is apparently fine and there is also a new exhaust inside the car too.
Body:
The majority of the body is very straight and solid and both the front and rear wings in particular are in excellent condition , door bottoms have some rust, as does the nsf lower wing. underneath all the jacking points have been replaced at some point and its very solid as a whole but will definitely require some welding that I noticed near the crows feet. All the external chrome is excellent for one of these with only very minor pitting
Interior:
Is complete , there is some wear and splits to the seats so this will require a trimmer to attend to, healing wants replacing as do the door rubbers, recent moth lite steering wheel.
A great project for someone who has the skills to get this roadworthy again. Happy to have a look at a deal with another interesting classic or modern vehicle if it helps.
