For sale is my very rare Manual Jaguar X300 3. 2 Sport.
This is an opportunity to own what is believed to be 1 of 14 manual X300s left in the country making it a very rare and incredibly engaging Jaguar, which I have thoroughly enjoyed using!
This car was purchased from the well know Swallows Racing Jaguar specialist just over a year ago and has been used by myself over that time. The car was purchased with a reasonable history, a fresh service, clean MOT and a waxoil to the underside. It is for sale with the same 12 month clean MOT, fresh service and Waxoil to the underside. The previous owner cared for this example for 17 years, keeping it completely original.
It comes from the factory with Flamenco Metallic Red paintwork and Oatmeal Leather interior and has some period options such as 16" diamond turned Dimple Alloys with correct Pirelli Cinturato P7 tyres (still with good tread), Electric Windows, Electric Sunroof, Fully adjustable Seats, Climate control, CD autochanger, Radio/ CD/ Cassette and ABS as well as the Sportpack package!
As mentioned I have used this car for over a year, adding roughly 12000 miles to the clock. It has been faultless and a joy to own and use. The previous owner was meticulous with its care, which shows, and the interior and exterior is in very good condition for its age. Not long before I bought the car it had received a new waterpump, alternator, belts, battery and steering rack. In my care for peace of mind, all fluids have been changed, all brake discs and pads have been renewed. The front brake calipers have been rebuilt. New rear Shock absorbers (in the correct Sport specification) and a new clutch slave cylinder and lines have been fitted. A new downpipe from the exhaust was also fitted as the front catalytic converters had failed. I also replaced the O2 sensors whilst I was there!
Mechanically the car is faultless. The engine is smooth and powerful with a smooth gearchange from the 5 speed Getrag gearbox. The brakes are strong and the suspension supple and communicative.
The Body is very straight very a few very minor age related marks. There is no damage to the chrome or lights. The underside is very clean indeed and has never been welded. It has lived in a garage for most of its life! The wheels are lovely however there is some corrosion starting under the lacquer which could be sorted with a wheel refurb.
The interior is again in very good condition. The seats and carpets are not worn or damaged and all interior functions work as they should. There are however issues with the clock (which is a very common fault with this Jags). This can be rectified with a new unit or refurbing the current one for roughly £120 from a specialist. The other common fault is a sag in the headlining at the rear which has been pinned up. This has never bothered me too much however, I have researched replacements which can be found for £160.
Overall this is a very clean and very usable X300. They are an appreciating classic with the manual being a more interesting example than most you will find. I have enjoyed every moment of ownership and I am sad to have to let this car go; however needs must after a new house purchase!

I strongly recommend viewing the car before purchase. I will require a deposit of 10%. The vehicle is SORN so a test drive on the main road is not possible. However a test on a private road that we have is acceptable.
