1996 Jaguar XJS 4. 0 Convertible Celebration only 18k miles
Manufactured between 1975 and 1996, the Jaguar XJS was built as a luxury Grand Tourer to replace the Jaguar E Type Series 3.
Following the takeover by Ford in 1991 the XJS was relaunched with new body styling and a new 4. 0 litre engine. In 1994 the new X300 XJ saloon was launched with an improved 4. 0 engine (AJ16) and this was adopted by the XJS. in 1995 the run-out Celebration Model was launched to celebrate the 60th year of Jaguar Cars. The Celebration cars came with electric hoods, diamond turned wheels, Jaguar embossed seats and a wooden steering wheel, cruise control and twin air bags as standard. These are recognised as the most desirable and rightly are now achieving ever greater prices as collectors seek the few remaining low mileage examples.
Production ended in April 1996 making this exceptional 18, 000 mile example first registered 12th April 1996 one of the very last of the rapidly appreciating Celebration series to be built.
The car has a full history to substantiate the incredibly low mileage. The car was, for many years, in a private collection.
Finished in stunning Bordeaux Metallic paint with immaculate piped Parchment interior, matching carpets and black mohair power hood. Recently serviced and having driven it from the owners house I can vouch for how well it drives.
The price reflects the unique opportunity £36, 000
