Alfa Romeo 156 2. 5 V6 Sport 2 1997 LHD. 60000 kilometres Supercharged.
I believe this is the only car of this specification in the UK.
Originally registered in Italy, the first owner had the supercharger conversion done by German engineer and touring car racer Franz Engstler, who raced Alfa Romeo's with great success in the 1990's.
He has an engineering company in Germany and specialises in tuning and modifying road and race Alfa's.
The car is fitted with a Vortech supercharger, which boosts power to around 280 BHP, Alkon front brakes and a strut brace. 17'' Alloys
The sport 2 model also has uprated and lowered suspension.
There is a plate on the the dash which denotes it as ER2 no 215, and I have an Auto Italia magazine from 1998 which features an article on sister car no 211, which gives a glowing report on the conversion.
It was imported and registered in UK December 1998.
There is only a small amount of early history, and some MOT's .
I bought the car in 2018, it had had very little use since 2007, and was in storage with a company who look after many classic cars for clients.
I used to race an Alfa 75 V6 myself, and was looking for something interesting. This was too good to pass up !
I have since had all the essential things done, including,
Cambelts, water pump, oil and filters
Auxilliary belt
New aircon compressor and pipework
new fuel pump
new scavenge pump on supercharger
MOT is current, but will get a new one at point of sale
The car drives perfectly, silky smooth engine, sounds amazing ! has a full black leather interior, with original cassette player ! and is in excellent all round condition, no rust, always garaged.
Can only appreciate in value, the Busso V6 is getting rarer, and this is a very special example.
I have enjoyed ownership, but currently have at least one too many vehicles, two if I am honest ! sadly, I don't get to use this as much as I would like.
