232 Jensen SPs were manufactured between 1971 and 1973 and these were their flagship cars after production of the FF ceased, it was the fastest car Jensen Motors ever produced.
This car underwent a comprehensive nut & bolt restoration here at Oily Rag Classics with completion just in time for its debut on the Jensen Owners Club stand at the NEC in November 2018 then on show again on the Jensen Owners Club stand at the Excel in February 2019.
The car has been rebuilt almost as it left the factory, with some sensible upgrades for modern driving, with the only cosmetic change being the new 17" wheels in the standard Jensen GKN pattern powdercoated in Black.
The car was stripped to a bare shell before all the necessary welding was completed, then shotblasted and repainted in its original colour of Reef Blue.
The car retains its original factory matching numbers engine which has been completely rebuilt and fitted with a new Holley Six Pack carburettor and a rebuilt SP gearbox.
Every component was rebuilt and cosmetically refinished before being refitted to the bodyshell making this car effectively brand new.
The original interior was in very good condition and the leather shows a lovely light patina.
The upgrades include:
Fosseway big brake kit to front and rear brakes
Stainless steel fuel tank and 100% ethanol proof pipes
Alternator upgrade
Uprated aluminium radiator and fans
Sanden A/ c compressor and R134a pipework
Central locking
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a fully rebuilt Jensen SP ready to use and enjoy.
