There are loads of MG?s for sale, some at silly money, some needing hours of work and occasionally a well-priced, smart looking gem like this one pops up, it?s not to be missed and it?s the cheapest Midget we have offered for sale this year.
Before we carry on, please, please, please ask to see the YouTube video, it shows everything including the all-important underside, it?s a comprehensive armchair inspection of the car.
1976 MG Midget in good all-round condition with a solid underside, running and driving spot on, we handle a few Midgets and this one drive's as well as some we?ve sold for double the price. It?s a good looker with the optional wire, chrome sills, luggage rack and a Mountney steering wheel upgrade, also comes with a hood down cover for sleek open top looks when the hood is down.
It starts very easily and runs very well, pulling strongly through all the gears, it stops well and is steady at speed with no wandering or vagueness of any kind the steering wheel is steady and if you press the ?go? pedal hard it?s quick at getting up to the speed limit, we have checked the fluids for correct level and contamination.
The interior retains the original high back seats with headrests, it?s all fairly tidy and unmolested with room for easy improvement, it?s a sung place to get comfy for some motoring adventures.
Both doors, boot and bonnet open, click shut, the windows wind down, the quarter light vents twist, the side lights, head lights, wiper, washers, all work, the indicators work but are not flashing. The hood is serviceable with two minor imperfections, the hood windows are clear, the hood frame is in good order.
The paintwork is presentable, it?s been the subject of a recent respray that?s been done to an ok, not high, standard. There are a few tiny imperfections that will be found on close inspection. It?s completely solid underneath, the sill?s, floor pans, jacking points, chassis legs are solid, see the pics and video, any inspection welcome.
We have the full logbook, some old MOTS, HPI printout showing its all clear and the car is TAX and MOT exempt. All the tyres are in good order with no slows or leaks, with a matching wire spoke spare in the boot, along with the ?knock on? hub tool.
Draw out of your boring ISA, get out the picnic hamper and go and enjoy your hard-earned savings, you still have a car to sell if you want to cash in later and you will be making memories instead of a pittance of interest.
The car is currently registered to a minor TV motoring celebrity, no we can?t name name?s sorry due to GDPR. It does want some electrics, fuses, relays fiddling with, like every other MG, but they are 90% there and unusually all of the dash gauges are working, has no door locks fitted just blanks and it could be generally tidied up better in the cabin, under the bonnet and in the boot, it?s a use and improve car.
There are loads of Midgets to pick from, you simply will not find another this well demonstrated, with everything shown to you before you leave the house, nothing hidden and nothing to hide, its not going to win any top prizes at shows, and the price reflects its condition, we are offering a lot of MG fun for not a lot of money.

DELIVERY
Local delivery within 20 miles of Carlisle is normally for free, further afield we can deliver to most of the UK for £1 per road mile from Carlisle (it will not be delivered by crow), highlands, islands and outlying areas please check with us first. No sorry we can?t deliver for the asking price, the car is at sensible money and we are only covering the fuel cost with the deliver charge.

All viewings are exclusively by timed APPOINTMENT ONLY, we do not have a showroom or display area, items may have to be brought from our secure storage to view and advance notice will be required.
