1971 Ford Escort Mk1 1300 GT . Rare car which has at some point undergone a restoration and has had a small fortune spent on it. We have the V5 , old V5, receipts from recently and also from prior to it being restored. The car starts runs and drives but hasnt done a huge amount of miles since being put together. It will require a bit of a shakedown and the engine ran in as it was just rebuilt.
Body - 4 Door 1300 GT which is built on a strengthened shell. Body is very solid from front to back. Paintwork is lovely in its original Tawny Brown. Bumpers and grille look like recently replaced items. All chrome is good. Very straight good looking little car. Underneath is an underseal finish and not detailed or body coloured
Mechanics - Engine has recently been rebuilt by Cameron Gilmour engine Services, standard 4 speed gearbox and standard rear axle. Car has had the following replacement parts fitted, calipers, brake cylinders, brake shoes, pads, flexis,. Everything underneath has either been replaced or refurbished. The car starts runs and drives well. Speedo is intermittent but we will get a look at that.
Interior - Rare Brown GT interior which is in really good order. Small crack on dashtop and small spilt at the beading on passenger seat. All gauges on 6 dial dash appear to work. Good headlining, doorcards and carpet.
Wheels - Deep dish lotus style steels with good tyres
