Beschrijving
This 1979 represents an exceptionally rare cross section of series III and the fabulous V12 - And in addition this particular vehicle boasts some of the most impressive history and stories I have ever come across in my time selling cars. Firstly, in a beautiful colour combination of ‘Damson Red’ with ‘Biscuit’ interior, this car has been enthusiast owned throughout it’s life and it’s extensive history attests to this. Over it’s years this particular car has been magazine featured (Copies included), it was ‘Miss October’ in the 1999 official Jaguar Calendar, and has been used for various vehicle launches etc. Provided with extremely extensive documentation, photo albums, framed print, magazines, calendar and spares - This is the ultimate V12 Jaguar XJ!
Exterior
Beautiful ‘Damson Red’ exterior, presenting extremely well - Paperwork and photo’s suggest previous paintwork to keep it up to this standard. Gold pinstriping along the shoulder line of the vehicle. No scuffs, with one small dent on the OSR quarter (Difficult to see). Small sign of bubbling around the lower windscreen and OSR rear arch. In 2000 the car underwent a minor restoration including welding, replacement sills and paint, all to a very high standard and further ensuring the condition of the vehicle to today.
Interior
Lovely ‘Biscuit’ interior in fantastic condition - A beautiful place to be! Heater temp is fixed to mid temp and the gauges can sometimes stick (More frequent use should rectify), but otherwise everything works as it should and is a jump in and enjoy car, ready for the summer!
Mechanical
The V12 fires straight up and is exceptionally smooth - The car drives beautifully and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Oil pressure and temperature is correct and consistent. Brakes and steering are responsive. All electric windows work with the exception of the passenger rear. 112000 Miles completed from new - Recently took this to a show and performed flawlessly as well as attracting a lot of attention!
