Description
Jaguar XJ12 5. 3 HE, September 1990, Bordeaux red, black leather
The Jaguar V12 of 5, 344 cc, in its HE version. It's the same engine block as the E-Type Series III, but in its most refined state: the HE cylinder heads, for High Efficiency, introduced in 1981, addressed the main criticism levelled at the original V12 – its fuel consumption – without compromising any of its smoothness.
A saloon with a V12 engine is already rare. A Series 3 XJ, produced until 1992, is rarer still: it's the last generation of XJ designed during Sir William Lyons' time, and the last to receive this engine in this bodywork.
It's French-supplied, in Bordeaux red with black leather interior, automatic gearbox. 124, 000 km on the clock. The V12 drives the old-fashioned way, without any harshness, and cruises at 130 on the motorway like a modern car, in silence.
We have its full history file. It's available to view on site, in Versailles, without appointment.
