Through their stunning design and motorsport success they have created a brand that will always remain desirable - And this Series 2 Montecarlo is exactly that, something to be desired! 1 of only 1, 123 Series 2 Montecarlo’s built (And one of 22 on the road in the UK according to howmanyleft. co. uk) this particular car has undergone an extensive restoration by an ex Lancia employee, and is now presented in exceptional condition. Quite possibly the best Montecarlo example in the UK / Europe, with extremely low miles for the age and an extreme attention to detail considered throughout the restoration, with parts being sourced from all over the world to build as perfect an example as possible. Winner of the 2023 Scottish Italian Car day and the 2023 Stirling & District Classic car show, and ready to win more shows!
Exterior
Striking ‘Rosso Vivo’ - The perfect and most desirable colour for a Montecarlo, an almost red / orange paintwork that presents no flaws or imperfections. Black bumpers have been re-textured and again are in perfect condition. Headlights were re-silvered throughout the restoration, and all wheels a colour correct and show no signs of corrosion or curbing.
Interior
Optional ‘cloth’ interior in grey - All in as exceptional condition as the exterior, with supportive seats and bolsters, complete and clean dashboard with working dials. The only sign of wear is presented on the original Momo steering wheel. Aircon has been removed from the vehicle.
Mechanical
The 2. 0 L Lampredi I4 engine fires straight up and settles into idle almost immediately - Sliding dials giving indication of good oil pressure. Gear selection is sharp, and clutch is responsive. Quite an easy classic to drive and live with! Sounds brilliant, with an extremely responsive engine. All suspension components were replace or recommissioned throughout the restoration, so as expected it handles beautifully.
