1990 Citroen 2CV Dolly – superb frugal fun!
She presents like a car that is less than a year old! Probably unique in this condition.
One of the most important cars of the 20th Century and certainly one of the most recognisable of all, the Citroen 2CV is truly an icon.
With four comfortable seats, the light and nimble 2CV is fun to drive, and easy to maintain with a huge following. This Dolly benefits from meticulous care and attention.
Coming from a small private Citroen collection and only being sold due to a house move and retirement, this 2CV is from the last few months of production having been built in February 1990 (production ceased in July that year)
A true time warp inside and out having covered just 22, 000 miles.
She has had a recent service, and has the advantage of a galvanised chassis and has been Lanoguard treated.
Full history and an MOT certificate valid until May 2025.
During 2023 the car has had new oil and filter, carburettor cleaned off the car in a sonic bath and replacement rubber piping and air cleaner element, new points and condenser and timing reset, new oil breather/ filler, Lanoguard treated underneath 2023 and 2024, seats reworked by renowned 2CV trim specialist Matt’s Soft Tops including new padding and rubbers. May ‘24 new coil.
The cars original owner lived in Twickenham, it was then stored for a number of years , a Citroen specialist registering the car to themselves prior to the current owner purchasing the vehicle from them so essentially 2 owners from new.
The car was featured in a classic car magazine in March ‘23.
