The 911 Turbo Cabriolet carries Porsche’s unrivalled experience of turbocharging from the racetrack to the road. Outstanding acceleration, cornering and road holding, all reflect Porsche’s heritage. But it is the 911 Turbo’s qualities of endurance and reliability that determine its suitability for everyday use. The 162 miles per hour maximum performance is derived from its 3. 3 litre air-cooled turbocharged six cylinder horizontally opposed rear mounted engine, which produces 300 bhp DIN at 5, 500 rpm, and maximum torque 430 Nm at 4, 800 rpm. 0-60 mph is achieved in just 5. 2 seconds. During its final year of production, the 930 Turbo was equipped with the G50 five-speed gearbox, which totally transformed the drivability of the car.
Our Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet was supplied by Dick Lovett Porsche, Swindon in August 1989, has had just four keepers from new and is complete with a carefully maintained history file, with invoices for works carried out, spare keys, MOT history since 1992 and historic tax discs. It remains an iconic 1980’s supercar, which continues to excite enthusiasts and collectors all over the world. This car is surely one of the very best examples to be found anywhere, and just 31 examples remain in the UK. The Turbo Cabriolet has recently benefitted from a full service, brake fluid change and status report check at Porsche, and it will also be supplied with a 12-month written warranty.
