The Series 3 Daimler Double Six was an improved version of the preceding ‘XJ’ based models. Designed to compete with the luxury German models, the new series of cars from Jaguar/ Daimler had to be a class leader in performance and luxury. The fuel injected V12 producing an ample 291bhp and transmitted by a reliable 3 speed auto gearbox. The revised interior included an onboard computer, all 4 electric windows and electric sunroof.
