I am offering for sale my 1970 FORD Escort RS1600, which I have owned since 2015.
This is one of the first original series with the twin cam Cosworth BDA 1558cc cast iron block engine, fitted with twin Delorto carburettors. The body is an AVO from the South Ockendon factory in 1970, identification BBATKR... original white with left hand drive (France). Concerning modifications and equipment, the engine is original with a 4 speed rocket E type gearbox. The water radiator has been changed for an aluminium model / electric fuel pump with regulator / Bilstein front and rear shock absorbers / ventilated front disc brakes / rear disc brakes / hydraulic handbrakes.
The car is in very good condition with very few modifications, the paintwork and bodywork are flawless, the mechanics work perfectly and regularly (when the weather is fine!) The car has been appraised twice for €75k with a certificate from the FORD homologation department (collector's registration document).
I am of course prepared to negotiate my selling price within reason and according to the buyer's motivations.
