In Completely Original Condition, this stunning example of a ‘Eunos Roadster V Special’, finished in British Racing Green over a Tan Interior, has been highly preserved throughout its lifespan. As of March 2025, this V Special underwent a minor recommission to the superb overall condition presented today, rectifying all minor MOT advisories and defects, alongside some further preventative maintenance including a Cambelt, Waterpump and a full Major Service, resulting in a completely ‘good to go’ example with a clean 12 Months MOT to 20th March 2026, with a singular advisory of a chip in the windscreen. Imported from Japan in June 2004, it is evident that this example resided ownership throughout enthusiasts, who sustained the highly desirable factory originality the MX-5 and distinctively the ‘V Special’ offered, thus including a Wooden Nardi Steering Wheel, Shift Knob and Handbrake Lever, alongside the full Tan Interior and Leather Seats. This specific example features a more useable uprated Nardi Shift Knob, along with a Genuine Mazda Boot Lid Spoiler and the correct Daisy Alloys wrapped in matching tyres all round - with one centre cap showing some signs of wear to fault.
The Bodywork is in absolutely remarkable condition all round. Both Rear Arches and Lower Sills still present all factory original spot welds, meaning this example has remained in completely rust free condition throughout its 30 year life span. The British Racing Green Paintwork is in a stunning overall condition. Near to all panels show absolutely no signs of age related marks in genuinely perfect condition, with only a small scratch and chip on the front bumper and nearside headlight cover to fault. The Interior likewise showcases in great condition, with very minimal wear throughout. The Tan Leather Seats, commonly known to damage and tear, are both in in brilliant condition. The Wooden Trimmed Accessories show minimal wear, with only some minor peeling to the top half of the Nardi Shift Knob, and a small amount of age related perishing to the dashboard.
Mechanically, the car starts, runs, drives and stops without fault. Albeit with slightly higher mileage at 119, 000 Miles, this example has evidently been very well maintained and preserved above the majority of other examples, with the further recommission in March 2025 allowing all engine and suspension components, bushes to present in great condition, to offer the highly enjoyable, responsive and sought after driving experience and reliability Mazda Intended for the MX-5, making this well cherished example entirely ready to be enjoyed for upcoming summer months.
