Ford Capri 1974 1600 xl Face-lift. In Daytona yellow . I have owned this car for about ten years now. she is great condition I use every week. Its colour shines amazing and its black vynl roof complements it very well. The car sits a smart set of minilite wheels with chrome surround and a good set of tyers. The body work is in great condition with only the odd age related mark and a small amount of rust bubbles on one wheel arch the size of a 5 pence. The chrome on her is shiny slightly pitted but in general very good The black vynl roof is free from any damage and looks smart. its got a locking petrol cap aswell. All the chrome trim around the doors and windows is in fine condition. It sports a nice chrome mirror on driver's doors.. The interior in very nice condition and is a very comfortable place to be . As you sink your self into the two tone tan and black seats and face that cool long bonnet you can't help smiling in your self. The roof lining is in black and is in excellent condition. Along with the tan and black seats makes it look very proud. The Dashboard is in very good condition with all instruments working as they should and to be honest quite accurate. The dash also houses a Motorola radio that dose work and can connect to your phone through a lead in glove box. The carpets have been replaced and are in black and fit well all in great condition. The gearbox is a four speed and changes effortlessly through the box. All lights and indicators work as well as the wipers and wash . Also mounted on the floor is a button to press whilst driving to activate the wipers . it's also got the push buttons on dash. The car starts effortlessly every time. The engine is the ohc 1600 that runs off unleaded fuel and returns a good mileage to the gallon. I've driven every where without a fault. I've recently just had full service and tune up . in the past twelve months she's had a new battery and starter motor and alternator. As you can see from engine bay photos it's in good condition. There is plenty of room to work on her if necessary. I can't see any leaks from engine and dost seem to burn any oil. Once started and warm and on the open road it glides a long leaving you to enjoy the experience. Boot is ample for that picnic basket and luggage and is in good condition . the spare wheel is also housed there.. I found the capri to be a constant target of conversation triggering peoples happy memories of there past . This would easily be a great Dailey driver . summing up this icon its a really great car and to own it has been an honour although not cocours condition all in all a very smart good looking car that can only make you proud to own and drive. . iff you would like any more information regarding the capri please don't hesitate to contact me.
