This is a very rare Ford Capri, owned by our Managing Director for the past nine years. He purchased the car directly from its only owners from new, a husband and wife, to whom the vehicle had been exclusively registered throughout its life.
The car is a genuine 37, 000-mile example and represents an exceptionally low-owner, low-mileage survivor.
After a number of years in storage at our Managing Director’s residence, the Capri was brought out in September and a decision was made to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment programme. The vehicle has now had all paintwork fully completed, including a glass-out respray, and is currently in the final stages of mechanical reassembly.
Completion is anticipated for early January 2026, after which the car will be fully detailed and made available for sale.
This is a 1978 Ford Capri 1. 6 that was clearly the pride and joy of its previous owners, and examples with such low ownership and genuine low mileage are incredibly rare. This really is a time-warp find, now being sympathetically refreshed to preserve its originality while ensuring it is ready to be enjoyed.
