The Rapide S is an iconic model, marking a significant milestone as the first four-door Aston Martin in production since the William Towns-designed AM Lagonda, which ceased production in 1989. While not badged as a Lagonda, the Rapide S carries the legacy of its ancestors, including the 1960s DB4-based Lagonda Rapide and the V8-powered wedge Lagonda from the 1970s and 1980s. Production of the standard Rapide concluded in 2013, giving way to the Rapide S, with only 2, 872 units produced.
