The Aston Martin Rapide 'history'
When the Aston Martin Rapide Concept was shown in 2006, the car already made an overwhelming impression.
This impression was not diminished when the production model was launched in 2010.
Few thought that after the Lagonda, there would ever be another four-door Aston Martin, in the exclusive and luxury segment where the popular Maserati Quattroporte and Porsche Panamera called the shots.
Aston Martin's idea was clear: an elegant four-door sports coupé that should also be able to reach speeds of over 300 kilometres per hour with four passengers on board.
But in luxury, style and opulence as befits an Aston Martin.


History
For the 2014 model year, the facelifted and upgraded version of the Rapide was introduced.
With the type designation "Rapide S". The external change is already immediately visible through a more powerfully styled front where a new heftier grille adorns it.
This is entirely hand-built from aluminium. Numerous refinements were also made under the skin.

The engine output of the 6. 0-litre twelve-cylinder was also increased by 82 hp through optimisation, rising to a whopping 558 hp.
This beautifully lined Rapide S was originally delivered in Germany by Tamsen GmbH in Hamburg in May 2014.
That is also where this sports coupe received its servicing. Naturally, the full history of maintenance and owners of this car is known.

About this car
This Rapide S is finished in Onyx Black metallic, the depth of this colour with its incomparable sheen enhancing the smooth contours of the bodywork.
The combination of the Obsidian black leather interior gives this Aston Martin a powerful and mysterious look. The interior exudes pure luxury and opulence, in keeping with the rich tradition of a Grand Turismo.
The beautiful sports seats, door sills, door panels and centre console, in short everywhere the eye can see, the interior is finished in beautifully stitched Nappa leather.
Together with the subtle use of high-gloss piano lacquer panels in the doors and centre console, it forms a result that can only be realised through the handiwork of craftsmen with years of experience.

There are more than five thousand stitches in each embroidered Aston Martin logo in the headrests, it indicates the care with which perfection the car's finish is created. The front sports seats are fully electrically adjustable and feature memory modes. Both the front and rear seats can be electrically ventilated and heated. The headliner, sun visors and window pillars are covered with the finest kind of Alcantara. The Bang & Olufsen audio system features 12 speakers, including two engine-controlled acoustic speakers that rise from the dashboard. The system also possesses a subwoofer and has an output of 1, 000 watts. The rear passengers each have a monitor at their disposal which is integrated in the backrest of each front seat. The overall condition of the car, such as the bodywork, the technology as well as the interior, is truly impeccable.

Driving
The Aston Martin Rapide S is a car that leaves an insane final impression. This example offered by Brooks Classics still impresses as much as when it was new. Because of its condition, it will always remain unique and stable in value.
Of course, none of Aston Martin's classic design elements were to be lost on the Rapide. The beautiful lines of the acclaimed DB9 and Vanquish are therefore clearly present. The engine remained the same as in Aston Martin's other models. A great atmospheric 6. 0-litre V12 that runs silky smooth, but comes to life with a roar the moment the accelerator is depressed and provides a brutal explosion of power.
