We sold this rather nice Mk10 4. 2 in 2015. The last owner has enjoyed it very much and used a local Jaguar specialist to maintain it.
It was supplied by Appleyard in Leeds and the service book shows that they looked after it until the early eighties, and thereafter lots of MOTs and invoices confirm the low mileage of 65, 000. There is a large history file which also includes a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming that this is a factory black car.
Lots of work has been carried out with new brakes, various bushes, rebuilt carburettors and detailed attention to interior lights and switches and the things that often get overlooked.
The original red interior is very good with exception of wear on the heel pads of the front carpets. All the chromework is original as is the boot lining and the fixtures and fittings around the car.
Power steering helps manouevre this wonderful machine and it has power brakes. The triple carburettors have been rebuilt and the Mk10 runs really well with its 4. 2 litre engine.
There are very few Mk10s left on the road now and this example is in decent, straight, gently worn condition throughout.
