MAKE OFFER Please read the ad carefully before asking questions that I have already answered. I have decided to reluctantly part with this 1964 Deville Cadillac convertible.
This car became famous thanks to the film "Le corniaud". Its 7L engine works like this. It is equipped with a recent edelbrock carburettor. This car needs a complete restoration.
The biggest issues concern the floors, which need to be completely redone, as is the case for many convertibles from the 60's. The wiring harness will also need to be completely redone.
As mentioned above, the mechanics work and the car runs well, but a complete overhaul will be necessary as it hasn't seen the road for a long time. The upholstery needs a bit of care but is usable as it is in the first instance.
I have floors from another car, in good condition, which could be used to refurbish it, and I'm giving them away with it. It obviously won't be going back on the road. As I've got lots of projects on my plate at the moment, I'd rather see it go to someone who'll take care of it than see it gather dust in my garage for ten years.
Administratively, it has a French registration, but it's not in my name. In fact, given the condition of the car, it's impossible for me to get it through the MOT and without a MOT, it's impossible to update the registration.
As you can see, this is a car for someone who knows a lot about the subject. It's a very good base and a car that deserves to be saved. I hope to find someone honest who will restore its value.
As for the price, I invite you to make me offers. I will accept any that seem honest. In good condition, this model sells for €40, 000 and I am aware of the work required to restore it.
I am open to exchanges for old convertibles, limousines, F6Bs, 2CVs, etc.
As I am difficult to contact due to my activities, there is no need to ask for my number, I would like to be contacted. I prefer to be contacted by e-mail, which allows me to respond more quickly. For any information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
