This 3. 8 Litre jaguar XK150 comes with three massive history files far far too comprehensive & voluminous to photograph in their entirety. Suffice to say the car has had massive expenditure put into it over the last 6 years in parts & labor totalling tens of thousands of pounds.
The car has been used regularly & has a light patina of use to the exterior which is finished in traditional British Racing green. To the interior is new tan leather upholstery with bucket style seats having been installed by the current onwer to make the car more comfortable & useable.
The engine has had a full rebuild & as a result is in really good order. It pulls stongly though the 4 speed Moss box which is also equipped with overdrive making the car very relaxed at speed. Wire wheels are fitted all round with knock off hubs. To the front of the car are two driving lamps to augment the headlights. A modern stereo system has been installed unobtrusively under the dash board.
Hardy Engineering of Leatherhead experts in rebuilding gearboxes and overdrives amongst other things rebuilt the gearbox and checked the overdrive over and whilst the gearbox was out it made sense to fit a new clutch. The carbs were rebuilt by David Drysdale who before he retired was an expert in this field. The radiator was recored by Colchester Radiators. The rear hubs were replaced with new hubs very recently
All in all this is a very useable example that is in tip top mechanical order & ready to be used for extensive touring. A full lenth Webasto sunroof allows for semi alfresco motoring on warmer sunny days.
