Description
The R129 was the brainchild of star designer Bruno Sacco and was part of the Mercedes-Benz model programme for a full twelve years. Here you have the opportunity to purchase a beautiful example of this popular classic. The SL was first registered in January 1992, is over thirty years old and is therefore eligible for H registration as a classic car. There is a "Mercedes-Benz vehicle data card", created for the customer Dr. Ing. W. Preuss. An extract from the "vehicle history" is enclosed, showing the service work carried out (mainly wear parts such as brakes etc.) in the period from 2006 to 2009. The vehicle documents list a total of six owners. The last owner (born in 1938) had owned the car since 2013 and took it over from his business partner, who in turn had owned it since 2009. There is an oil change service card from a classic car workshop in the engine compartment. According to this card, the car has only been driven around 4, 000 km in the last ten years and is in a well-kept condition. However, with an age of over 30 years, minor signs of wear are inevitable. These include scratches on the bumpers, etc. The classic colour combination of silver and black suits the car wonderfully. A hardtop and wind deflector are also included and the car runs smoothly. The original type plate is present in the engine compartment. An owner's manual is included. The code for the "Becker Grand Prix 2000" radio is noted in it.
