Description
Up for sale my is wife’s 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX, which has been her car since 2011. She’s had a lot of fun with it, but we’re both now over 70 and retired and the car isn’t getting used, so it’s time to pass it on to someone new.
It’s never been messed about, it’s probably as near to standard as you will find; no fancy air filters, dump valves, go – faster bits etc; it does have a full stainless - steel exhaust which was fitted by Subaru and which sounds good but doesn’t deafen you or upset the way the car runs. It may have been fitted with a high - performance chip, I’ve never looked; it certainly goes well!
I’m a professional engineer, and the car has been properly maintained throughout it’s time with us; during the Covid lockdown I decided to take the opportunity to carry out some work on the car, so I overhauled the brakes with new discs, calipers and pads, replaced the front U frame/ subframe , had the wheels powder coated, dealt with a couple of minor oil leaks from the cam covers, and did a few other jobs which needed a little attention.
The interior is in good condition, externally it’s generally good for a car of this age; there are a couple of bits which could perhaps do with a little attention soon but nothing dramatic, and it’s on decent tyres.
It has recently had a full service with new cambelt, pulleys, water pump, tensioner etc., and new oil, spark plugs, oil, air and fuel filters, and so on. Mileage now is 148194 which is genuine, it hasnt been "corrected", "adjusted", or otherwise messed about with, unlike some; (it may increase a little, I enjoy driving it!); it always starts on the button and runs fine.
It was MOT’d a few weeks ago, I have both keys for it and the original handbook etc, and it’s ready to go; I would like £6500 for it, but I’m also open to a deal with an up and running classic or vintage motorcycle, 350cc or above.
I’m near Dundee in Scotland, drop me a line if you want any more information.
