Exterior
Paint and Bodywork - Finished in Iconic 'Classic Red', every aspect is presented in a stunning condition, treated and protected with a full 3 stage machine polish and coating. Evident to a high calibre of welding to the rear arches, an invoice is additionally supplied for a strip back of slight bubbling and repair of both rear sills in October 2025, to ensure a high-grade finish and solidify a rust free condition throughout.
Underside - As most know, MX-5's are vulnerable to surface rust on suspension components in correlation with age and usage and is specifically mentioned as an MOT advisory. The whole underside has since been stripped and treated to rectify the majority of surface corrosion previously present. Although this is non-structural with no underlying implications, appreciation has been shown that it looks unpresentable so the work was carried out to present a much better underside condition.
Wheels and Tyres - Wrapped in a matching set of 'Michelin Pilot Sport 3's', all wheels present very well, with minimal sign of age expected wear. To match and correlate the remarkable presentation all round, these would benefit from a refurbishment but in no means 'need' attention.
Convertible Top - Protected with a long-lasting smart fabric coating for 'water beading', the correct vinyl roof with a plastic rear window presents faultlessly. There are no tears, stretching or ripping apparent and all components operate and fold with ease.
Interior
Accessories and Trim - With the beneficiaries offered with the 1. 8IS mentioned above, the cockpit offers a premium touch with luxury, and comfort from the optioned leather seats. All trim and door card, present in very well condition throughout, with a protective and restoring coating applied to bring a slight shine. There are some minimal age/ mileage expected scratches on the centre console and surrounding. All electrics are fully operative, with the only aspect to fault being the very common, slow window operation.
Carpets, Mats Upholstery - Protected with a pair of brand new Genuine Mazda 'MX-5' over mats, the carpet itself presents extremely well. Both seats were removed for a thorough clean and wet vacuum extraction for a high grade of preparation to be maximised. The leather seats show no rips or tears and showcase a great overall condition, with age expected cracking to the drivers base - however this isn't visible when sat on and driving!
Overall Mechanical Health Evaluation -
With service history in its highest order, comprised at the supplying Main Dealer Garneys & Hill in Ipswich from 1998 to 2005, followed by continuous services at Ford Main Dealer ‘L. S Eaves LTD', the engine is as healthy as they come. Maintenance regardless of mileage plays the leading role in mechanical condition on classics ; a higher mileage well cared for car will be in a far superior state than any lower mileage example with a poor/ lack of history of due care.
