This 1985/ B Ford Escort RS Turbo Custom Pack Edition, presents a rare opportunity to own a original car that has NOT!!- been restored it boasts its original factory body panels. A truly exceptional car, this RS is considered to be one of the most original and genuine example still in existence and is unrestored, retaining its original factory-fitted shell and drivetrain due to a history of rust prevention care it has maintained its integrity. The Series 1 RS Turbo was built for homologation purposes to enable Ford to compete in Group A Racing. In total Ford made 8604 Series 1 RS Turbos. In 1985 the cost of the basic RS Turbo was 9250GBP and the optional Custom Pack was 470GBP. The Custom Pack included a glass sunroof, electric windows and opening rear quarter windows.
The car celebrates its 40yrs of motoring by now being MOT & Tax Exempt : yet it has just recently passed its MOT with no advisories showcasing its remarkable condition.
