Lot 934
A 1920 Humber 10. 5hp two-seat tourer.
Reg No. AH 3975.
Car No. K3829.
Engine No. 3865.
Blue with black interior.
Humber virtually stopped production of civilian cars during WWI and the ‘Ten’ emerged after the cessation of hostilities with electric lighting and dynamo starting. Along with the ‘Fourteen’, these cars were to form the backbone of Humber’s offering in the post-war period.
This example was a lively performer when the vendor first purchased the car in 2012, though regrettably the engine is now showing signs of distress and a full rebuild is probably necessary before the car returns to the road. The dyna-start has recently been rebuilt. It should be noted that the V5C records inaccuracies in some respects.
