We have owned this car for 17 years. It was fully rebuilt in 1999 to 2000 by a GT6 specialist. The car is modified, most obvious of which is the colour which was specially mixed for the car. The engine is now a 2. 5 litre, ported and fully balanced with twin HS6 carbs, 6 branch manifold, roller rockers, high lift cam, and lightened flywheel. Built by Tony Lindsay-Dean it is also fitted with an oil cooler, spin-on filter with oil feed to front bearing, adjustable vernier timing gear, modified Lucas distributor with electronic ignition, alloy back plate, water pump housing and radiator with kenlowe. It has an uprated J type overdrive gearbox and 3. 63 diff. Uprated and lowered suspension includes AVO shocks all round, with adjustable ride height at the front. We have repositioned the lower wishbones at the rear and fitted a lowering block. The front has alloy hubs and vented discs with poly bushes used all round. The dash was custom made and we have just spent £700 on a half leather interior. The car is in good condition with one or two stonechips consequence of 7 years use.
