This is unique blend of 70 looks and late 80 engineering, I have had the car for 27 years. The car has been off the road for 18 year as the running gear had died which is normal for Elites. So for sentimental reasons that it was my first lotus. I would turn it into a pheonix as I have had 6 excels and have enjoyed thousands of miles of trouble free motoring, this would be the base for my restoration. Finally I found an 89 Excel SE , then the Elite was first painted and fitted to the excel running gear, brakes, exhaust, carpets, full retrim including boot, radiator, brake pipes, fuel pipe in s/ steel, and new belts including cambelt and tensioner. This is the best anywhere, also car sailed through its MOT, there are only 3 to 4 Elites with this set up and this is the best by far, lots of photos of work done. Phone Jon.
