Description
1932 Packard 900 Light Eight Coupe
A very rare packard "shovel nose" produced for just two years. The powerful 5. 2 litre straight eight is a paragon of smoothness & power.
This car has had extensive works done to it starting with an engine rebuild & culminating in fresh paint in dark blue & black along with a retrim in pale blue leather. As a result the car is in superb order starting readily & showing a surprising turn of speed in modern traffic conditions.
The coachwork is Packards own 2 door coupé with a dickey seat fitted to the rear. About 500 examples are thought to have been produced. Long, low & rakish it typifies americana of the period in the best Capone style.
In addition to the fresh paint & interior, new tyres have also been fitted. The brakes have also had a thorough overhaul as has the fuel tank & assorted engine ancilliaries. A new clutch was also fitted during the refurbishment process. The car is thus ready for extended touring & long distance use. Only when you dirve one of these packards do you realise quite what superb cars they are.
