This gorgeous 1969 Porsche 911T is up for sale. Having just covered 81, 000 miles from new. The car, originally Bahama yellow, was subjected to a full glass out respray and sprayed a very rich gloss black. She looks absolutely amazing. There are a couple of light scratches and paint flaws. The car has a very good quality Glass fibre ‘S’ front spoiler.
The 2. 0 litre engine is tight with no leaks. It is well sealed and may have been rebuilt relatively recently. The Weber carbs were stripped and rebuilt by the previous owner. She revs beautifully and pulls very strongly indeed with a truly wonderful tone through a new Dansk Stainless steel dual outlet system. It really does sound good. Upgrades include a Permatune ignition, hydraulic tensioners and a freshly stove enamelled airbox. The gearbox is smooth and all gears engage in a slick manner with no crunching. The clutch is perfectly setup and overall its a joy to snick through the box as the engine revs freely up to its redline. The shocks are Bilstein items, rear torsion bars, anti Roll Bars and an adjustable spring plates are all by Weltmeister. This combination of suspension components feels great and means the car handles brilliant while still maintaining a very comfortable ride. I fitted a new washer system when the car arrived.
The four Fuchs wheels are in good condition are not scuffed, I like them as they are slightly patina'd on their polished surfaces but you might prefer to have them re-anodised. They are mated to new Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
The interior is in great condition with no tears on any of the seats and the basket weave vinyl on the door panels and front dash are excellent as is the crack free dash top. The headlining looks to be original and is also in great condition. Both interior lights work too. A new carpet set was fitted throughout by the previous owner with front overmats. The original radio works through the stereo speakers and while not exactly hi fi is perfectly good enough to tune in to AM and FM stations. I however prefer to wind down the manual windows and enjoy the concert going on out back.
Auxiliary Oil Pressure and temperature gauges are neatly located in the ashtray opening. Unusually the door pockets are in full working order and are in top condition too. Also present is a gorgeous Momo Prototipo wheel with a Porsche horn button.
The body and underside are rust free and very original. Under the bonnet is a steel spare, jack and toolkit. The electrics are all neat and perfect with the fuse covers in place including the original paper inlays describing fuse positions. We have fitted a new battery.
The US headlights have been replaced with brand new Porsche Euro spec items with new lenses and the sidelights/ indicators are all brand new from Porsche. We have retained the US headlights.
This car is a real gem and I am more than happy for prospective buyers to do a pre purchase inspection of the car. It flew threw its MOT with no advisories and I am super confident that you will love this gorgeous classic 911 with a whiff of hotrod about it. This car will take you anywhere.
