RBW are proud to offer a unique MGB GT V8. Specially built in 1991 to a very high standard and previously owned by the RBW owner. An amazing soundtrack, one of the best non-factory V8's money can buy and better than an original - she comes with 12 Months MOT and 12 Months limited warranty.

The body was fully prepared from a rust free 1976 shell and painted in 2 pack BRG.
The engine is a SDI Rover 3. 5 V8 with good oil pressure
Mated to a 5 speed Rover gearbox
Hi-Torque RV8 starter motor is fitted
The brakes were uprated
The suspension is Bilstein front suspension system and up rated Spax rear shock absorbers.

The car has a genuine 26651 miles from being built in 1991
"The conversion was started in 1991 with a complete body re-build, sills, floors and external panels being replaced. A complete re-spray inside and out in two pack racing green finished this phase of the restoration.
A Rover SD1 engine and gearbox was stripped and re-built professionally and fitted to the car. A modified prop-shaft and 3:1 rebuilt rear axle was added to complete the power train. Carburation is by Holly 390 C. F. M. and low rider air cleaner with Offenhauser manifold. Ignitioln was converted to electronic and fabricated exhaust manifolds. Valeo 65 amp alternator, new battery and Serc V8 radiator completed the ancillaries. A Ron Hopkinson rear handling kit, spax shock absorbers and V8 springs were added to the rear end. Front brakes were converted with V8 discs and callipers. All brake pipes were replaced with copper. New interior trim completed the conversion. The car at this point was tested on the rolling road at Aldon Automotive, and found to develop 180 brake horse power, the engine has been further tuned to 210bhp.
K. N. 15 inch alloy wheels and 195 profile tyres have been added. Front suspension has been totally re-built with new shock absorbers and 1 inch anti-roll bar and new steering rack. V8 Developments twin exhausts have been fitted and some minor but important power train fettling carried out to further enhance power and flexibility. Oil pressure is about 40 p. s. i. hot at idle"
