First built on 12-15th October 1959 this vehicle represents a very rare opportunity to acquire an original dealer fitted Judson Model SP Supercharger fitted from new. The car is presented in its original, very desirable colours of Cherry Red exterior with Red trim and a Black hood. The car remains totally numbers matching, and the supercharger is also. From factory the car was very highly specified with a heater, tonneau, sliding sidescreens and more.
An exceptional period option, this Judson supercharger conversion claimed 45 percent more horsepower, rapidly increased acceleration times from 21 seconds to just 12 and a top speed of 94 mph over the standard car’s 78. Most pleasingly the car is still adorned with original and unique Judson Supercharged badging across the bodywork.
The car is exceptionally solid with no rust on the body and new floors just fitted by us. The engine bay is very clean and all original supercharger componentry is present including the glass oil feed bottle. A new carburetor has just been fitted by us.
Inside the car is very cleanly presented with all trim in very good condition, the seats free from marks and the stainless cockpit trim very good. A period boost gauge is fitted.
The car is very pleasingly supplied with much original paperwork including installation instructions, Judson Magneto instructions and ‘A Few Facts on Supercharging’ by Judson as well as an Austin Motor Co Schedule of Repair times and Drivers Handbook. A heritage certificate of authenticity and good paperwork file is also included and the car is UK registered.
