EXTERIOR
Presented in a rare and stunning shade of Nero black this Challenge Stradale is in near perfect condition and exudes its Pininfarina lines beautifully under the studio lights. The flawless paintwork is protected by subtle paint protection film on the front bumper, nose, mirrors and side sills ensuring that the car remains as clean and clear as possible; without stone chips commonly picked up by the low front end. All of the rubber seals around the car remain fresh, soft and tear free showing little wear. The rear engine carbon fibre detail is excellent and the plastic window to Ferrari’s V8 masterpiece is clear and crack free.
The white, green and red stradale stripe accentuates the smooth, sleek lines of the Pininfarina-designed bodywork which leaves any keen passer-by in no doubt that this is the homologation lightweight 360.
INTERIOR
The immaculate interior of this example is stripped-down and simple, with almost every part focused on saving weight. The leather seats show very little use and maintain excellent shape and contour; outlined in this case by beautiful twin stitching with embossed prancing horse. The carbon switch gear panel on the gearbox tunnel presents impeccably and echoes the condition of the carbon-fibre surround on the instrument cluster – housing the central tachometer coloured yellow for optimum legibility. A factory fit roll bar completes this competition special.
The stitched steering wheel is flanked by F1-style gearshifting ‘paddles’, with the right hand paddle lengthened to facilitate upshifts when accelerating out of bends.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Challenge Stradale’s 90° V8 mid engine is longitudinally-mounted behind the cabin, and its red cover contrasts in striking fashion with the menacing bodywork. The engine is a work of art and provides the driver with an audible symphony of an exhaust note and the kind of performance that is unique to a race-ready car designed for road use.
The F1 transmission produces lightning-quick changes through the 6-speed gearbox, incorporating two different configurations – ‘Sport’ and ‘Race’ – with corresponding damper and traction control settings.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The car’s 19-inch Challenge wheels are in superb condition, and come wrapped in their original specification Pirelli P Zero Corsa road tyres.
The braking system itself features red coloured calipers, aluminium brake carriers and lightweight carbon ceramic discs from Italian manufacturer Brembo, a package which delivers superb deceleration rates and excellent handling.
HISTORY FILE
Delivered in late November of 2004 to the Ehrl Gruppo Sportivo of Potsdam, Germany.
With Ehrl being a franchised Ferrari dealer they would subsequently service the car for each year up to 2008 at 3, 700kms, 3, 952kms, 4, 772kms and 5, 333kms. The car then made it’s way to the Far East where it would be serviced by the Japanese main dealers on a further 4 occasions at 8, 019kms, 12, 107kms, 18, 279kms with the last entry in January of 2016 at 20, 134kms.
The leather bound book pack features all original literature, spare keys, radio removal keys and torch.
The car is UK registered with all taxes paid and will be serviced upon sale.
