An absolutely drop dead gorgeous Austin Cambridge A60 in Persian Blue with a Snowberry White side flash. She has covered a mere 51, 000 miles in 52 years having been dry stored for 24 of them! She is as nice as you are going to get with one of these lovely old Farinas unless you step up one final gear into concours (which I do not like in any case) but then you would have to spend too much time cleaning the tyre treads with a toothbrush! She has a great body, lovely engine bay and drives beautifully. She has an MoT until April 2018. The colour combination on the Cambridge is arguably the nicest one BMC came up with for the model and it was never used on the sister car, the Morris Oxford. She also has a superb light blue leather interior.
I sold this A60 to a local chap about 15 months ago and I have bought it back as he is moving house and thinning down his fleet. Since buying it from me he has added a new carpet set, boot liner, dynamo and new front seat webbing.
All in all, I would say that it is as good as any out there for sale - and that's if you can find an available Cambridge or Oxford these days. Those who have them seem dead set on hanging onto them and hence the lack of them in the classic market place.
If Farinas float your boat, then this will be for you. Great car, great chrome, great driver, low miles and a pretty, pretty head turner of a 1960s classic. What are you waiting for?
I cannot stress highly enough just what a top class Condition One Cambridge this really is. You are welcome to view but, if seriously interested, don't bank on it still being here if you intend booking an appointment for a week's time!
I have the original service book, owners handbook, and a large file of receipts and old MOT's since 2007 when she was cosmetically and mechanically restored by a previous owner (I have a cd of pictures of the work being done), including a full re-spray which has lasted very well with only the most minor of blemishes.
I have some of her history passed on from the man who restored her. She was registered in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, on 1st Jan 1965 and was owned by the same family for many years, finally being dry stored in 1979 (I have the tax disc). She remained stored until around 2005, when she was put back on the road and then sold to the guy who restored her. The mileage when he started the work was showing as 45040 (he sent me a photo showing this), so I consider the present mileage of around 51200 to be probably accurate.
I accept all major debit/ credit cards and a ten per cent deposit is required at the point of sale with the balance due within three days. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin the details below).
