Description
This is a rare opportunity to own one of these beautiful cars. If you are looking at this ad I’m sure you already know the history of the original le Mans prototype that it is based on, so I wont go into the details.
This car is the sportscarfactory. com version, expertly built by Race Car Replicas, in Michigan, USA.
It was professionally assembled by a well known UK company and sprayed by a reputable shop that provides services for one of Surrey’s top Jaguar Dealerships.
The mechanics were detailed and finalized by Chris Weeden of Barwell Motorsport, a very successful GT racing team, also in Surrey. He also fabricated the race tuned exhaust
manifold which is ceramic coated inside and out.
The 6 litre Jaguar V12 engine is untouched internally, with standard cams which can easily be upgraded. It is mated to a Porsche G50/ 03 5 speed transaxle.
The engine breathes on 45mm independent Jenvey throttle bodies, mastered by a programmable Emerald K6 ECU which has 2 maps ( can have 3 ), changeable at the flick
of a switch on the dashboard, one for economical use and one for track days, producing 365 bhp at 5000 rpm and 396 ft-lb of torque from 2800 rpm onward. The engine is in
very good running order with around 63k miles of use.
You will see from the dyno that the power delivery is very smooth and maximum torque is available at low throttle.
This car weighs around 1 tonne and with low drag so you can imagine how fast it will accelerate. Top speed will be around 180 mph.
The engine oil is water cooled with an inline Laminova type cooler.
The car has 2 20 gallon ( approximately ) baffled fuel tanks and uses a swirl pot to keep the high pressure fuel pump constantly charged.
Other details include 20” BBS Paris rims shod with Pirelli P Zero rubber and stopped by Willwood disk brakes, 6 pot at the front and 4 pot at the back, with adjustable brake balance.
The car is not currently registered for street use.
