This vehicle was sold by us in recent years, and due to the loss of storage we are delighted to be able to present it for sale once more. We are told by the former keeper that it has been utterly reliable!
As can be seen, this is a good looking vehicle, presented in unusual Limestone, with a recent set of 750 tyres to standard rims, giving a pleasing stance along with slightly better cruising ratios. The canvas was replaced last year too, so it's got lots of life left in it - what's nice about this old girl is that she has all the nice period features without the addition of anything nasty - there are period mounted mirrors, deep sills, vintage plates, and bonnet mounted spare. The front bumper is also reasonably recent, and retained it's galvanised finish.
The interior is equally charming, period and simple. The seats are recent items so in perfect condition, and it's completely standard - twin wiper motors and the original steering wheel are nice to see. The rear is unfitted, but bench seats can be added to match the front seats if so required.
This vehicle was driven in to us some 50 or so miles by the previous keeper who was sorry to see it go, but he could not face leaving it outside - and we can see why ! The original petrolengine does what it should, and mated to the unburstable 2a gearbox it has proved to be a reliable motor in the past.
In summary, this is a smart 2a in rare colour and popular soft top. With free road tax and low insurance (and long MOT) it is ready to drive away and enjoy without great cost, and if cared for, should continue to appreciate in value.
