Description
This is an outstanding original example of a 1966 Jaguar E-type 2+2 Series I, straight six 4. 2 manual, imported by ourselves from Canada. The car has passed the MOT with no advisories and has full UK registration.
This car is an unrestored original E-type. The interior has a lovely patina, and is trimmed in red leather. The bodywork is excellent for its age with hardly a mark on it. Finished in an opalescent metallic grey and shod in a set of chrome spoked wheels, this E-Type is stunning. The headlamps are enclosed which is a Series 1 feature. Underneath it is sound and in good condition. There is evidence of the jacking points being strengthened which is a very good upgrade.
The famous XK twin cam Jaguar six starts immediately and pulls strongly throughout the rev range. The gearbox is a 4 speed manual, and is smooth both upshifting and downshifting. The clutch is smooth and progressive.
Both handling and roadholding are excellent, making this a very easy car to quickly cover ground.
