JAGUAR E TYPE V12 S3 JKH797L
This beautiful e type was delivered new by British Leyland New York 2nd March 1973.
It was re patriated in March 2018 showing 37500 miles on the odometer having been hand-picked by its new owner, an avid e type enthusiast with numerous e types in his current and prior ownership. Once back in England he took about an in-depth repair and upgrade programme. The car comes with receipts for over £10, 000 of parts alone, the rear axle was removed and refurbished as was all the brakes, cooling system etc etc. The car was converted to right hand drive, US indicators removed and the car received a high quality re spray in its original colour of regency red. A new mohair soft top was also fitted along with a full stainless steel exhaust.
The car is matching numbers vehicle and remained in the importers collection pretty much unused until Jan 2026. The car was MOT’d on completion 16th March 2019 showing 37670 miles and a new MOT was undertaken April 2026 with 38121 miles showing on the odometer, testament to how little the car has been used since its import.
During its recent recommission it has had a full engine service, fresh anti-freeze, new clutch master/ slave cylinder, MOT and five new tyres.
The car runs and drives very well and looks amazing, the interior is pleasingly original showing some of its 53 years but remains tidy. A period Nardi steering wheel is fitted and new period tyres all round. Many of the original documents from Jaguar come with the car which can be seen in the photos.
This car really needs inspecting to appreciate how much money the previous owner lavished on it. Any inspection is encouraged.
This is a lovely example and very useable car which I have used regularly over the last few months and enjoyed very much.
