We increasingly specialise in the BMW Airhead models from around 1970 through to around 1996, but every now and then we're tempted by other boxer twins from the bmw range....... this bike is one of those exceptions !
It's a two previous owner, 2003, R850 R, and its condition can only be described as spectacular.
The bike, as you can see, is the facelift model, complete with the quite rare factory black engine / transmission finish. It's barely run in, having covered a documented 8000 miles from new.
It was supplied new by Allan Jefferies of Shipley, with the first custodian cherishing it for 4 years. On acquiring the bike, the second owner returned to the dealer and promptly spent over £400 on factory luggage and servicing. At this point, it had done only 4000 miles.
In recent years, the bike has been used very sparingly on nice days, and purely for pleasure. It's a term often used, but this is a truly cherished motorcycle.
Absolutely any inspection is welcome, and even at this price, we'll consider your classic in part exchange. Please register your interest early on this one, as I'm sure she won't be around long.
