Lot 26
A 1984 Fiat X1/ 9 VS 1500, registration number B528 NLK, chassis number 7152957, engine number 5190895, two tone bronze and gold. The original X1/ 9 was designed by Bertone, one of Italy's oldest and most respected design houses. Launched in 1972 to the European market, it was not until 1977 that the British public had the opportunity to experience the mid engined sports car in right hand drive form. The only major changes in its production run was the introduction of the larger 1500cc engine and five speed gearbox from the Strada in 1981, and various special additions would became available including the Lido, VS and Gran Finale. This VS 1500 has only covered 55, 500 miles with its two registered keepers. The first, a Mr John W Walsh from London and our vendor who acquired the Fiat in 1987. The Fiat is in original condition and has been in storage for a number of years. Its last MOT expired in March 2007. Being a VS version, the car is equipped with a full leather interior, in this case a beautiful tan. This 'baby Ferrari' will be offered for sale with a history file with MOTs from 1989-2007, receipts and handbooks. The once overlooked Fiat X1/ 9 is now being appreciated for its handling and relative rarity by enthusiasts and collectors. This example having had only two owners and being a low mileage example should appeal to either. V5C, no MOT
Estimate £5, 000 - 6, 000 + 12% Buyers premium (including 20% VAT)
