Offered here is a late 1973 Coupe and it is an extremely sound car with under 91, 000 miles showing on the odometer. The. The car is MOT’d until July 2018.
There is significant documentation with the vehicle including MOT certificates going back to 1989 when the recorded mileage was 62930 which suggests the recorded mileage could possibly be correct. There are 21 Tax discs used on the vehicle going back to 1984 plus a replica of the original tax disc supplied with the vehicle dated Aug 74.
Receipts dated between June 2005 and 2011 indicate that it benefited from a significant amount of restoration including two invoices from Ely Services of Cambridge for over £4, 500. The 2005 MOT certificate indicates the vehicle has covered less than 8000 miles since this date. There are also a number of invoices from Rover specialist J R Wadhams for various parts.
During the last few years the following work has been carried out and new parts fitted.
New parts include, brake servo, rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, master cylinder, wiper arms and blades, refurbished radiator, heater hoses, exchange heater matrix, battery and alternator.
In 2015 a full engine strip was undertaken by a specialist including replacement of the hydraulic tappets and an unleaded head conversion.
Although this is not a perfect example it is an impressive car which is very presentable and has had a significant amount of time and money spent on it.
