EXTERIOR
The Estoril Blue Metallic exterior paint is in beautiful condition on this E36 M3 Evolution. The paintwork has a lovely depth of shine all over and looks fresh throughout. It is clear that this has been a very well looked after example. There are only a couple of light stone chips which are to be expected on the front bumper. There is no rust, blemishes or scratches. Likewise, all light lenses and trim retain a fresh appearance. All the glass on the car is still original, being etched by BMW. The front windscreen still retains both the original running in sticker and airbag sticker. This just gives you an idea of how wonderful this example is. The original BMW soft top is in equally as great a condition and the rear screen is still clear and not hazy. The hardtop is once again in wonderful condition, with the original BMW window present.
INTERIOR
The Champagne Extended Nappa Leather is in lovely original condition throughout, with minimal wear to be found. The contrasting black carpet is in unworn condition and has been protected by genuine BMW overmats from new, which are also in great condition. Likewise, trim and switches are all free from scratches or wear. The seat bolsters suffer the slightest of wear and are free from any scuffs or sagging. The dashboard and centre console are also in great condition, with no cracks or sun damage to be found.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This E36 M3 Evolution is powered by BMW’s 3. 2-litre engine, mated to a six-speed sequential manual gearbox (SMG). Being a last Evolution model, it benefits from being the later revised 3. 2 unit. This performs as it should do and the car drives wonderfully. The SMG gearbox works very crisply in both automatic mode and manual. The engine is very quiet when idling and idles smoothly. The engine bay is completely original throughout and in great order.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 17-inch alloy wheels are in great original condition and are shod in a set of tyres all with good tread.
HISTORY
This E36 M3 Evolution was first registered in March 1999 and has a full service history. The car comes with the original service book that is all stamped up, complete with various receipts and also previous MOTs are present. There are spare keys for the car and all the original owner’s manuals are present. This example still also has the original leather swatch and pouch that BMW used to place in a holder on the headrests when new! Viewing is highly recommended for this example. This car has therefore been maintained properly and is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
