Beschreibung
Originally built 19-20th October 1966 this 3000 MKIII BJ8. 2 is finished in Black with Colorado Red two-tone, with Red seating and Red piled carpet. The car is supplied with its original engine, body, chassis and rear differential all matching numbers. As a late model this car features the ‘De-Luxe’ cockpit with rich Walnut dash. Very highly specified from new, factory equipment included extras of: adjustable steering column, tonneau cover, overdrive, wire wheels and more.
This example is presented in very solid clean condition throughout, totally rust free having been fully restored between 2011 – 2016 with less than 1, 000 miles since. The scale of the works was comprehensive, with the car taken back to bare metal, the chassis repaired, repainted in stages with the body removed and panels painted separately. The chrome is very good condition.
The engine was removed during the restoration and repainted and is believed to have been fully rebuilt, with the car displaying excellent oil pressure, making good power and idling smoothly. The gearbox and overdrive have just been refurbished and are as new.
Inside, the car totally rewired, the seats re-upholstered and new carpet fitted throughout. The roof is of the correct vinyl and fits well. The wood was all renewed or replaced during restoration and is excellent. Since photographing we have improved the centre console fit and upholstered around the shift gaiter. The hood bag is present.
The car is provided with MOT, a heritage certificate of authenticity and details on restoration works. £54, 000 LHD as is or £58, 000 RHD
