First registered on 16th August 1967, this is a very desirable, very late built 3000 MKIII Phase II car. The car is an original RHD UK car, finished in its original colours British Racing Green with its original Black interior. Original Bakelite steering wheel, beautiful walnut dash and full wet weather gear including optional tonneau and hood bag. The car is also fitted with originally provided Lucas spotlamps & chrome/ stainless wires.
This vehicle represents an beautifully preserved, looked after example, with very nice panel gaps throughout and a pleasingly high quality of paint finish. Much of the chrome and brightwork is original to the car and also in good condition. A notable and very rare item to the car is that it still wears its original front emblem of which it is little known that these should be red painted on Phase Two cars unlike reproduction parts which have a incorrect finish. A sump guard fitted to the car gives an outwardly sporting look.
Inside, the car is fantastically preserved with all original Ambla vinyl 2+2 seating and with the door cards, dash and other panels also believed to be original. The carpet is more recently replaced and very good. A 12V accessory power socket is fitted inside the car and the additional spotlamps are neatly integrated into the interior with matching switchgear.
A distinguishing feature of this car from others is not only its incredible authenticity but remarkably rich paper history. The original bill of sale from Camden Motors for the sum of £1115:0:0 cash to a Mr Penrul, it’s original guarantee, copies of the original log book, direct receipts from Donald Healey Motor Company Ltd and rich history of period servicing in the 60s right through to maintenance work from Romans, Richard Stewart Aston Martin and more are all provided.
The car has resided with the current owner in Monaco in a dry conditioned garage with sympathetic use and an impeccable maintenance regime.
