Unveiled for the 1989 Frankfurt Motorshow, the Pininfarina-penned, mid-engined Ferrari 348 was the highly anticipated replacement for the iconically 1980's 328.
With a revised quad-cam V8 engine positioned longitudinally and lower within the chassis, Ferrari were able to install an F1 inspired transversally mounted manual transmission. This offered a much lower centre of gravity allowing weight to be concentrated within the centre of the chassis.
The 348 was also the first production Ferrari to feature a steel monocoque chassis maximising torsional rigidity and these fresh updates made the 348 thrillingly agile.
Available here is perhaps the finest 348 TS we've seen. Presenting in factory original condition, this true 'time warp' example was delivered new by Scuderia Veloce Motors, Willoughby in June of 1992.
With just 18, 788 original kilometres recorded, the cockpit of this example still carries its 'new car' aroma.
In ageless condition, the original Blaupunkt radio is still present, the leather sports seats wrap around the driver perfectly and even the chrome shifter presents with zero wear.
