The Appeal
As the successor to the 328 and the last of the mid-engined V8 Ferraris to feature the celebrated open-gated manual gearbox as standard, the Ferrari 348 TS has earned a devoted following. The Targa-topped TS variant, with its removable hardtop panel, offers the best of both worlds: the structural rigidity of a coupé with open-air motoring on demand.
This example is a UK-market, right-hand drive car first registered in January 1993, finished in the quintessential Ferrari specification of Rosso Corsa over Crema leather with deep Rosso carpets. The cabin is further distinguished by its contrasting Nero upper dashboard and door card caps, drilled aluminium pedals, and the chrome open-gate gear linkage. Outside, the car wears its 17-inch five-spoke Ferrari alloy wheels with yellow Cavallino Rampante centre caps, complemented by Scuderia Ferrari wing shields on the front wings.
Having been in the same ownership since 2007, this 348 TS has benefited from considered specialist care. A major service in May 2023 at Barr-Tech Specialist Cars saw the timing belts and uprated tensioner bearings replaced, along with cam cover gaskets, coolant hoses within the engine vee, and a full AC re-gas. Since November 2024, Phoenix Classic & Performance have carried out extensive further work including new spark plugs and HT leads, replacement of all brake discs, a brake fluid flush, CV joint servicing, and a Waxoyl anti-corrosion treatment to the underbody. Into 2025, the idle speed control valves and throttle bodies were cleaned, the MAF sensors balanced, and most recently the engine oil, genuine oil filter, both fuel filters, and the right-hand fuel pressure regulator were all renewed.
For those wanting a mechanically sorted, classically specified Ferrari 348 TS in right-hand drive, this car has it all.OUL_8265 Luke Papworth.jpg6.9 MB

Non-factory immobiliser wiring removed from ignition circuit and replacement 70A starter relay fitted (July 2025)

Examine this car's history, and you'll find that, crucially, the big-ticket items are done: timing belts, tensioner bearings, and the crankshaft woodruff key were all replaced in 2023, alongside a thorough refresh of gaskets and seals. Since then, the car has had continual, granular attention rather than being left to accumulate faults: brakes overhauled, CV joints re-greased, throttle bodies and idle control cleaned and balanced, and as recently as August 2025, fuel pressure regulator, filters, and oil renewed alongside tracing and repairing faulty emissions wiring. A well-sorted car, ready to meet its next custodian.
