This Alfa has just been shipped over from South Africa, which has the perfect climate for motor vehicles. Even though this car is a light restoration project, it is good to know the last 40 odd years were spent in the South African sun!
Car is NOVA registered and all taxes and vat have been paid by myself.
I will supply the original SA logbook and a full receipt.
Car will need some restoration.
This is the cheapest up and running, complete 2000gtv in the country, at the moment.
Good Bits,
Dip beam, side lights, main beam, indicators and brake lights all work.
Wipers work.
Heater fan works.
Water squirters work.
Horn works.
This is a genuine 2000 GTV, with the correct AR241 vin.
Has the correct LDSD diff as a 2000gtv should have.
Also with the correct 2000cc engine and correct engine numbers, AR005.
The 2000 gtv, s are considered the best of the bunch by many enthusiasts.
Engine runs sweet, very quiet, not tappety at all, smoke or anything else it should not do.
The brakes and clutch both feel fine.
I have not driven the car, but my friend in SA has and he said it drove well.
Floors are remarkably good and i cannot find any signs of welding or plates.
Bootlid is excellent with no rust.
Wheels are genuine Momo Vegas.
Bad Bits,
Bodywork is very straight. But as per pictures there are some issues on the drivers side.
Drivers side door handle needs replacing, i can provide a spare.
Car will need a repaint.
Number plate lights do not work.
O/ S outer sill will need some work.
The rest can more or less be seen in the pictures.
The registration process is very simple and i can advise on the procedure.
