1971 Austin Mini Mk3 1275 cc in Island Blue with an Old English White roof. This mini will appeal to someone who would love a 1275 Cooper S at a third of the price. It has been created by taking a standard MK 3 Mini 1000 and adding all of the exciting parts to make it close to a Cooper S. It has a lovely tuned 1275 cc engine which runs very well giving a smooth and strong acceleration while also being refined and good on longer trips. The twin carburettors make the engine bay look very period and perform very well. The engine spec is not known but it feels very well balanced and picks up very well while also giving a smooth running at idol. It stops using 7. 5 inch Cooper S discs brakes at the front and wider rear drums. The Minilite wheels look great and I have just fitted 4 new Yokohama A 008 tyres. It has a dummy off side petrol filler neck giving the look of twin petrol tanks. The badges front and rear are Cooper S and the overall appearance is classic 60s / 70s fast road mini. The interior is very nice with new Cobra seats which are supportive and comfortable plus a Astrali steeling wheel with column mounted rev counter and a 130 MPH speedo. There are seat belts front and rear so the whole family can come along for the ride! The number plate is included and finishes off the period look of this exciting mini.
